| this is one of those I used paint skins to develop the texture. The skins were produced when I left the paint out uncovered to allow the turpentine to evaporate some so the paint would thicken a little allowing one more control while making the 'strings' of paint. I was able to gain enough control to place a complementary color 'string' on the middle of the first 'string' that was laid down. By choosing the right amount of drying time one could leave the 2nd 'string' on top, allow it to sink in a little so flushness would occur to the surface of the string, or just 'dimple' the the 1st string's surface giving an effect pressing in. |
